The lift pass will be withdrawn from anyone who offends. The general rules for use of the lifts are displayed at the bottom of every lift.
Piste markings
Pistes are marked with a circular sign, colour-coded according to difficulty, and each piste is numbered. Pistes in higher areas are also marked along both edges with arrows sloping inwards and down. You are strongly advised not to leave the piste, because of avalanche danger and the risk of getting lost. If you do leave the piste, you do so entirely at your own risk. The panorama boards in the valley show open or closed installations and pistes. The operators reserve the right to close pistes and installations. In such event, there can be no claim for compensation or extension to the lift pass for unforseen departure. Similarly, when installations are non-operational as a consequence act of God or technical breakdown, there can be no compensation for non-use of cards.
Safety information
Except on marked pistes, skiing trough the woods and sapling plantations is strictly forbidden. In addition to the "closed" sign on the panorama boards at the valley stations of the lifts, closed pistes are marked at their start by this sign. For safety reasons skiing on officially closed pistes is absolutely forbidden.
Piste checks
The piste-and-rescue service patrols only on open, marked pistes. The last patrol is made immediately after the last ascent of each lift. Please note that the patrol does not check mountain huts.
Accidents - what to do?
We wish you an active, healthy and enjoyable skiing holiday. However, just in case you should come across an accident, here are a few tips:
- First Aid for the injured person: most important: keep them warm!
- Mark the area above the injured person clearly, to warn other skiers.
- Never leave the injured person alone. Send someone, if possible an experienced skier, with exact details of the location of the accident, to the valley station of the nearest lift where the staff will take the report.
- Never move injured persons yourself!
- Transport (rescue sledge, helicopter), is at the injured party's own expense.
