Ski touring information

Tourengeherroute
Ski touring on slopes during daytime and after we closed down the ski slopes – against the driving directions of our paying guest – got very popular.
To give the ski touring guest more safety although they are ski touring on their on risk we have to ask our ski touring guests to obey rules and regulations. Especially for all those ski touring guest who walk up the slopes after the official closing time there is huge source of danger along the slopes with snow grooming machines with cable winches and frontline sling, snowmaking facilities, snow aggregates, snow-tubes who cross the slopes, power cables etc.
On the other hand when you ski down to the valley at night you will destroy the majority of the slope which was nicely groomed just shortly before.

The Bergbahnen St.Johann in Tirol/Oberndorf offers you a solution, which does mean additional expenses on the other hand for all ski touring guest it also means risk minimizing. We kindly ask you to follow the well-signposted ski touring route up the Kitzbüheler Horn.

Following ski run is open until 10.00 p.m. for our guest from the Restaurant Harschbichl until 10.00 pm 1a – 3a – 2a – 2c

Following ski run is open until 10.00 p.m. for our guest from the Restaurant Angereralm until 10.00 pm 1c – 2 b – 2a – 2c

We ask our ski touring guest to follow the FIS respectively Bergbahnen St.Johann in Tirol/Oberndorf rules. If you do break these rules we do have to close down the night ski touring.
